Crosspointe Church was founded out of a belief that the last thing Ringgold needed was another church. What it needed was a different type of church, a church for real, broken people with real needs.
Daring to believe that God was real and at work in the lives of His people and frustrated by the church politics that so easily infest a church, Crosspointe Church was born in the hearts of five men including its founding pastor, Dr. Ron Tankersley. These men, soon to become the church’s founding elders, began a Sunday evening Bible study on June 15, 2003, at the Comfort Inn and Conference Center in East Ridge, TN. That night over 100 people were in attendance.
On July 13th, of the same year the Bible study moved to the Gateway Mall and Antique Center on Cloud Springs Road in Ringgold, GA, where God’s hand of provision was evident on a weekly basis. On Sunday, August 17, 2003, a special service was held to officially constitute Crosspointe Church of Ringgold, GA. That day 140 people became charter members.
God has used the ministry of Crosspointe to impact hundreds of lives. The mission of Crosspointe Church is to provide real solutions for real people. Crosspointe is a fellowship of broken people who have been transformed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Since that day, Crosspointe’s ministry has more than doubled to include ministries for all ages that feature creative environments that are both engaging and conducive to learning the truths of God’s Word in a relevant way. We believe that our walk with Christ should be more than adhering to a code of rules, it should dictate every decision that we make.
In August of 2010, Crosspointe moved into a brand new facility on Alabama Highway in Ringgold, designed specifically to create engaging environments for all ages.
