CHRIST-CENTERED*BIBLE BASED*EVANGELISTIC*FAMILY-ORIENTED

OUR MISSION

  • To provide real solutions for real people through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • To proclaim Christ to the lost, baptize and teach the found, here and around the world.
  • To build our community one family at a time by passing on the faith that is passed on to us making fully devoted followers of Christ.

what we believe

  • We believe the most important thing in this life is our relationship with Christ. Becoming a follower of Christ puts the rest of our life and every circumstance in perspective and gives life purpose and meaning.
  • Our relationship with Christ begins by confessing our sin to God, putting our trust in Jesus and what His death and resurrection made possible for us; and by surrendering our life to God's purposes.
  • We believe that with that relationship, the Spirit of God enters our being - we call Him the Holy Spirit - and that Spirit not only becomes our guide, but He continues the process that began at our point of surrender - moving us from a life of sin to a life where we resemble the person of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe the Bible is the only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. The Bible is the absolute standard and final authority in the life of the believer.

worship

The invitation to worship God is the highest privilege of human beings. We gather each Sunday morning at 10:00  AM to publicly and corporately experience God's love through Christ-centered worship. It's a celebration to express our love, adoration, admiration and wonder at God's presence.

MUSIC AS WORSHIP  "Sing to him a new song, play skillfully, and shout for joy."  Psalm 33:3

Because the Bible resounds with praise and thanks to God through music, we believe music is an important element in worshipping, honoring, praising, and glorifying God. Our worship team guides us in both hymns and contemporary songs with piano, guitar, and drums to proclaim our joy in salvation through Him.

MESSAGE AS WORSHIP  "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God."  Romans 10:17

We believe the Bible to be the infallible, inerrant, and inspired Word of God. It is given to lead us into a saving relationship with the Lord. Therefore, the objective of our messages is to lead people to the foot of the Cross to meet Jesus and to develop Christlike thinking, Christlike character, and Christlike conduct. Through the message as worship, we anticipate His presence and an increase in our faith by hearing it.

history

Crosspointe was founded on the idea that Ringgold needed a different type of church, for real and broken people. The church was born in the hearts of 5 men, including the founding pastor, Dr. Ron Tankersley. These men soon became the founding elders at the first Sunday Evening Bible Study on June 15, 2003, at the Comfort Inn and Conference Center in East Ridge, Tennessee with 100 people in attendance. On July 13th of that same year, the congregation moved into Gateway Mall on Cloud Springs Road in Ringgold, Georgia with 140 Charter Members. In August of 2010, Crosspointe moved into our present location on Alabama Highway in Ringgold with the facility designed specifically to create engaging environments for all ages. Today, after almost 20 years, we still exist with that same love for broken people and desire to introduce them to the real answer to their problems, Jesus Christ.
